Results of the 2019 call for projects to the French-Philippine NGO network
A jury chaired by the Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural affairs gathered last November 13 for the call for proposals 2019. The committee selected a project proposal in favor of an underprivileged community or social group, without any thematic restriction. This year, we received 37 applications, 17 of which were eligible for being part of the NGO of the France-Philippines network.

Launching ceremony of preliminary works for the 3Zero House
On the occasion of the visit of Mr. Frédéric de Saint Sernin, ACTED launched the 3Zero House project in Manila last October 24. A symbol of the 3Zero Agenda: Zero Exclusion, Zero Carbon, Zero Poverty, this six-storey building currently under renovation will serve as a collaborative space, an incubator and a resource center.

6th French Volunteering Day in the Philippines
Each year, France Volontaires – the French platform for international exchange and solidarity – organizes the French Volunteering Day, a global event which highlights the efforts of volunteers working on the ground. This year’s discussions revolved around the theme “An Inclusive World through Social Innovation: The Future of Volunteerism.”

2019 Human Rights Prize of the French Republic
Applications are now open for the 2019 “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity” Human Rights Prize of the French Republic. This Prize, created in 1988, is awarded in recognition and support for the completion of individual or collective projects carried out in the field, in France or abroad, regardless of nationality or borders, to promote and protect human rights.

Since 2007, the Embassy of France to the Philippines has been launching an annual call for project proposals for the benefit of disadvantaged communities. The call for proposals 2019 is open from September 16 to November 1, 2019 to the Franco-Philippine NGO network.

Within the framework of the call for projects for French-Philippine NGOs launched last September 21, a jury chaired by the Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Affairs convened last November 13, 2018 to select a project proposal in favor of an underprivileged community or social group. Given the quality and relevance of the project proposals received, two NGOs have been awarded this year.

2017 Call for Projects for NGOS: Financing a gender equality program developed by the Virlanie Foundation
Since 2007, the French Embassy has been launching a call for projects among the French-Philippine NGO Network to support the development of projects for the benefit of a disadvantaged social group. This year, the Virlanie Foundation will receive financial support for the implementation of their project entitled "Initiative on Gender Equality Training" (i:GET).

126 families affected by Typhoon Haiyan move into their new homes constructed through an exemplary French public-private partnership
The inauguration last October 6, 2017 of a relocation site developed by the French NGO, ACTED, in Guiuan province, Eastern Samar marks the completion of a project providing new homes for 126 families whose houses were destroyed by Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) in 2013.
