Synopsis :

At 4:00 a.m. today, the eye of Typhoon "CHEDENG" was estimated based on radar, satellite and surface data at 270 km East Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes (14.0°N, 127.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 160 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph. It is forecast to move Northwest at 15 kph.

Forecast :

Bicol Region and Samar Provinces will experience stormy weather while the rest of Eastern Luzon including Masbate, Marinduque, Burias Island, Northern Leyte and Biliran Island will have rains with gusty winds. The rest of the country will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast to Northwest will prevail over the rest of Luzon and coming from the West to Southwest over the rest of the country. The coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.
