“Heart of Alsace Travel” launch in the Philippines [fr]
Last March 12, 2019, French Ambassador Nicolas Galey and his wife, Camélia Galey, were honored to welcome a delegation led by Marie-Reine Fischer, President of the Eastern France Tourism Agency, on the occasion of the launch of “Heart of Alsace Travel” in the Philippines.
Ms. Fischer was accompanied by Mr. Benoit Ghestem, Founder and President of Magnific Escapades, and by Ms. Fatiha Kritter-Rachedi, Communications Director of the Eastern France Tourism Agency.
This reception at the French Residence gathered personalities from the tourism industry, the private sector, and the media to discover the French region of Alsace. The culinary heritage of the region was highlighted throughout the evening with a buffet prepared by two Michelin starred chef Nicolas Stamm of the “La Fourchette des Ducs” in Obernai, Alsace.
Conceptualized by Olivier Midière, President of PGI Holding, Inc., “Heart of Alsace Travel” seeks to promote the Alsatian region of the Grand Est in the Philippines. Alsace is a region reputed for its excellence in gastronomy and wines, as well as for its tradition of hospitality and conviviality. Alsace is particularly known for its 170-kilometer long “Wine Route” which passes through over 400 cellars that open to the public all year round.
