Inauguration of the #Spirou4Rights Exhibit in Manila [fr]
In 2018, we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In 30 articles, this founding text articulates the rights and freedoms of all human beings, based on the acknowledgement that “all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.”
Spirou Magazine by Editions Dupuis, one of Europe’s leading comic publishers, joins the celebration by dedicating its latest edition to illustrating each of the 30 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Since October, a #Spirou4Rights comic exhibit dedicated to human rights and the Declaration has been travelling around the world to reaffirm the principles of the Declaration and to inspire others to follow the example of Spirou in fighting inequalities and protecting the weak.
On the occasion of World Human Rights Day and the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium and the Alliance Française de Manille, with the support of the Delegation of the European Union and the embassies of the EU member states in the Philippines including the French Embassy, bring #Spirou4Rights to Manila from December 10, 2018 to January 12, 2019.
