French-Philippine NGOs Call for Proposals 2023 [fr]

Every year since 2007, the French Embassy to the Philippines and Micronesia has been launching a call for proposals to support a project benefiting disadvantaged populations, or in favor of sustainable development.

Numerous associations have already been awarded, including SCAPH Pro Recherche Océanographique in 2022, for its project to build artificial reefs to revitalize underwater biotopes in Silago, and Anak-Tnk, for its project to finance a day-care center in the shantytown to help children through the fight against malnutrition, medical support for beneficiaries and education for children who do not attend school or who have difficulties at school.

These two prize-winning NGOs join the list of associations that have been awarded by the French Embassy to the Philippines since 2007, namely Alouette in 2007, Anak-Tnk in 2008, Augustins de l’Assomption in 2009, Fondation Enfance in 2010, Caméléon in 2011, Passerelles Numériques in 2012, Water and Life in 2013, Solidarités International in 2014, Fondation Enfance in 2015, Enfants du Mékong in 2016, Fondation Virlanie in 2017, Entrepreneurs du Monde (1st) and Water and Life (2nd) in 2018, Anak-Tnk (1st) and Phil’Rouge (2nd) in 2019, Enfants d’Asie (1st) and Médecins du Monde (2nd) in 2020, ACAY Missions Philippines Inc. (1st) and Espoir School of Life Inc (2nd) in 2021.

The 2023 call for proposals is open from June 20 to July 31 (23:59) 2023 to the associations of the France-Philippines NGO network. Proposals are not limited to a particular theme - these can be related to health, environment, education, or social issues.

Two NGOs will be selected this year. Following evaluation of the projects, the first awardee will receive a total of PHP 300,000 in financial support, and the second awardee will receive a total of PHP 100,000 in financial support from the French Embassy to the Philippines.
