Last May 31, 2022, French Ambassador Michèle Boccoz paid a courtesy call to President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. to personally convey the message of congratulations of the French government on his election. On this occasion, they discussed matters of mutual interest and explored the deepening of cooperation in several areas, particularly as France and the Philippines celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year.
