Visit of IRSEM Acting Director to Manila (5-9 December 2022)
The IRSEM is a research-oriented institution to the Directorate General for International Relations and Strategy (DGRIS) operating under the umbrella of the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
The Acting Director of the Institut de recherche stratégique de l’Ecole militaire (IRSEM) or the French Institute for Strategic Research, Dr. Marjorie Vanbaelinghem, visited Manila on December 5 to 9 to meet with Philippine counterparts to discuss possible collaboration.
The trip of Dr. Vanbaelinghem to Manila comes as France and the Philippines celebrate the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.
The IRSEM Acting Director held exchanges with faculty members and students of the National Defense College of the Philippines, as well as faculty members and researchers of the Ateneo School of Government. She also met with think-tanks, researchers, diplomats, and members of the media.
